Hi!  A real short one.  Have you ever spilled some red wine on your couch or rug?  Well, it has happened to me more than once and I have found the absolute best solution.  It is called “Wine Away” and it makes the red wine disappear in minutes.    Just the other day I accidentally kicked over a glass of wine that I had placed on our  rattan rug in our sun room (yes, I know, a very bad spot for a glass of wine…) and the stain disappeared with just a couple of squirts. I was skeptical but it is magical. It says that it also  removes coffee, ink, blood, sauces,  fruit punch, red medicine stains, and even pet accidents but I have only ever tried it on red wine.  Next time I will try to remember to take some before and after pictures (we all know that there will…

Well, its been 6 months since I started my Peloton journey and I could not be happier.   I cannot say enough good things about the Peloton app.  I have lost weight,  I am sleeping better than ever and I am much more energetic.    The classes are  interactive and communal but at the same time very intimate. Also, the instructors are motivational and push you to your limit.  I get a lot of email asking about how all the components of my “Peloton alternative” are holding up so I thought I would post a review about some of the items that I recommended in my original Peloton blog.  Read on…

The Peloton Cycle!  I saw the commercials and was hooked.  Over 9,500 on demand group spinning classes in my own home?  You mean I never have to find someone to watch my kids, get in a car and drive to the gym?  A dream come true – sign me up!  Plus, I am assuming that it must come with a housekeeper because everyone’s homes seem so neat and tidy.

Then I saw the price tag…almost $3,000 right off the bat when you add delivery, special shoes, a $468 yearly subscription, etc.   Crikey!  I already have a graveyard of exercise gadgetry and workout DVDs in my house (does P90X and Insanity ring a bell to anyone?), I didn’t want to splurge on a Peloton bike only for it to gather dust in the corner.   Don’t get me wrong,  the Peloton bike is awesome.  It is built like a tank and a nice ride. If you can afford it and are confident that you will continue to use it, I say go for it!  For me and my track record, it was too much of a gamble and I needed to find a workaround.

So what did I do?  After loads of research (Amazon reviews, fitness blogs, etc.) and with this Sunny bike I designed my very own Peloton bike alternative and it saved me almost $2,400.  I have seen it called a Peloton “hack.”  It works great and so far I am really enjoying my Peloton workouts. This is how I did it:

As some of  you know I am the proud mother of two 7 year old twin boys.  I wouldn’t say that they are “spoiled” but they’ve been given a lot of toys over the years, whether its from Santa, their generous aunts, uncles, and grandparents or Mum & Dad.  Some get loads of use while others gather dust in the corner until they magically disappear…

Here is a review of about 20 toys. Some are classics that you will remember as a kid and others are one hit wonders.

Hi, welcome to my first blog.  We moved into a new house last year that already had speakers wired for sound but there was really no good spot for a large stereo receiver.  Instead we bought  four Sonos CONNECT wireless receivers.  A little pricey but it really helped with our seating options in our small living room by not having to position a bulky entertainment center.  We set the Sonos receivers up in the basement, ran speaker wire to the speakers upstairs and presto!   We now can play music in our living room, dining room,  sun room and by the pool all from the Sonos app on our phone.  We can access Pandora, Amazon Music,  our music library on Apple iTunes, etc.  We are very happy with our purchase!  The app is very intuitive and easy to use.
