Peloton recently announced that the Peloton App is now available on Apple TV and Roku TV. This is in addition to Amazon Fire TV and Android TV which I think is now all the major streaming platforms. Apple and Roku users can now view Peloton App users can now access classes directly from their TVs, all you need to do is add the Peloton channel.
As an Apple family, I was previously streaming from my iPad to the TV which was fine but now with the app available on the Apple TV App Store on the TV, it is one less step. (And I could never figure out why it was available on my iPad and iPhone but not TV).
Much like when I stream, when I use the Apple TV app, I do not see my cadence and HR on my TV. I also don’t see the “Who’s Here” list of riders. Both of those are fine and I still use my iPhone holder to display my cadence and HR via my Wahoo App. While I may not have the onscreen metrics, I get the full screen experience and the class length. See below.
As I have mentioned in previous posts, I find taking any of the off-the-bike classes like yoga, abs or meditation much easier on my 60″ flat screen TV.
