Here it is – this year’s No. 1 Peloton App Accessory! Plenty of pictures and videos below.
Whether you are shopping for someone that needs a little more fun spinning at home or you are looking to spice up your spin life, this gadget is a no-brainer!
You’ve asked and I answered. With permission from Peloton App User #Libow, I’ve posted a comprehensive review of 40 different spin bikes to use with the Peloton App to help you create your own Peloton hack. This list includes everything that you need to know to help you decide which at-home spin bike is best for you and your budget. I wish I had something like this when I was deciding on my first spin bike (and the inspiration for my original Peloton App review).
As for me, you all know that after taking 500+ rides on my very affordable Sunny SF-B1002 that I recently upgraded to a beautiful Keiser M3i. I found this information very helpful in making my purchase decision.

I have some exciting news! Equinox recently announced that starting this Fall, they will launch a digital fitness platform. This digital fitness platform will include classes and content from its family of brands, including SoulCycle and Precision Run! The new platform will integrate live and on-demand content (pre-pandemic, the content was going to be from over 300 locations but I imagine that they have streamlined that a bit).
[Big update below]
The SoulCycle App
Hey everybody! I hope that everyone is staying safe, healthy and sane.
I decided to bring a little fun into my home gym and bought a really fun disco ball for my Peloton rides. It is SO MUCH FUN! I turn down the lights, crank up the music and turn on the disco ball – the pattern of the lights change to the beat of the music coming from the Peloton App. It comes with a small remote that I keep with my bike.
I have added some pictures and videos.
UPDATE: Peloton confirmed this week that they WILL indeed launch a Peloton rower in 2020 although no further details about the rower or its interoperability with the Peloton App were provided. The Covid-19 pandemic is likely to delay things is my guess.
OK, this is purely speculative but I THINK Peloton will soon be releasing a Peloton Rowing Machine.
This past October Peloton acquired Tonic Fitness Technology, a company that has been manufacturing Peloton’s high tech spin bikes for a bunch of years. And Tonic recently filed a patent application for a a high tech indoor rowing machine with the U.S. Patent Office.
Piecing in all together…
How much does the Peloton App cost? Boy, I get this question a lot.
Its been almost two years since I started using the Peloton App with my own Sunny Spin Bike and my Wahoo cadence and speed sensors. What an amazing experience. I am in the best shape of my life and more importantly I have proven to myself that I have a passion for spinning – I am so happy with the variety of Peloton class options, have exercised my butt off and the bike didn’t turn into a clothes hanger.
Now I am considering an upgrade. Why? For no reason in particular. My Sunny still works great. I just want to move to more of a commercial grade exercise bike. I have stashed away $100 per month for the past two years and I am deciding between a Keiser M3i and of course, the Peloton.
After doing a LOT of research comparing and contrasting the two spin bikes – I thought I would share what I found.
I get a lot of emails asking me to respond with a simple list of all the bits and bobs needed to use the Peloton App with your own spin bike (meaning, without the actual Peloton bike). Well, in addition to replying to those emails, I thought that I would post my advice here, too.
Of course, my detailed review of the Peloton App with all the lovely pictures and videos can be found in my super popular Peloton Alternative post!
Here is my list
Well, its been 6 months since I started my Peloton journey with my inexpensive Sunny bike and I could not be happier. I cannot say enough good things about the Peloton App.
I have lost weight, I am sleeping better than ever and I am much more energetic. The classes are interactive and communal but at the same time very intimate. Also, the instructors rock – they are very motivational, although I like some better than others.
I get a lot of email asking about how all the components of my “Peloton App Setup” are holding up so I thought I would post a review about some of the items that I recommended in my original post “My Peloton Bike Alternative; A Great Money Saving Hack.”
Here is what has worked well and what you can skip:
